Akorn Morocco Latest Update
Please find hereunder the latest update on Morocco:
The country has officially launched the vaccine campaign on January 28th, 2021.
State of emergency has been extended until March 10th, 2021; and that includes: mandatory mask-wear in public areas, maximum of 50% capacity in most establishments (with strict fines in place in case of non-compliance), and travels between cities are restricted with a specific authorization delivered by local authorities. In addition, a strict curfew from 9pm to 6am is implemented until February 16th, with an 8pm shutdown for all activities excluding room service at hotels. This decision is subject to extension.
Please note that international travelers can visit Morocco under the following conditions:
ONLY citizens with no visa requirement are allowed to visit the country (you can find a detailed list here)
A negative PCR test dated no earlier than 72 hours prior to departure (of the last flight-leg)
A valid hotel reservation or for business travel an invitation letter from the Moroccan company visited
Travel on one of the “special flights” currently operated to Morocco (please check with us for a day-to-day updated status)
Present on arrival a pre filled “passenger health form” completed on Morocco National Airport Authority – Health form and printed prior to arrival
Therefore, we still think that at this stage we are only able to guarantee our quality of service for one location holiday with the possibility of including a Sahara Journey throughout Southern Morocco either by land from Marrakech or by air from Casablanca. Travels between cities are still subject to a special authorization granted by local authorities (please note that we can get the authorization for our guests, but we still cannot guarantee the execution of the entire program as the situation keeps changing and cities with high number of cases can be locked down at any moment). We are happy to look at any request you may have and will advise you to the best of our local knowledge on how your specific request can be addressed. Thank you.

Wine Pairing at Chateau Roslane - Meknes
Although it’s not the most obvious choice, Morocco is considered to have the best natural potential for producing high-quality wines, due to its high mountains and cooling influence from the Atlantic. Visit one of the stunning vineyards located between the foothills of the Rif, the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. This area is known for producing powerful, full-bodied, fruity and expressive wines for over 2000 years. Depart early with your driver-guide and upon arrival in Meknes, visit the wine cellars of Celliers de Meknes winery and Chateau Roslane to learn how the wine is stored. Next visit the tasting room, and as you sip away on your glass, chat with the owners and winemakers about their crops, wines and passion for the industry. Picturesque and breathtaking views of the green vines and blue skies surround you. To conclude the trip, enjoy a Gourmet Moroccan lunch in a beautiful setting before heading back to your hotel.

Sightseeing by Sidecar

The sidecar is comfortable and allows guests to experience the magic of Marrakech between the faily life and historic monuments. They watch the world whizz by and enjoy the wind in their hair. This tour can also be organized outside of Marrakech in places such as palmgrove and Agafay desert.

Located 30 minutes from Marrakech city center, Anima offers guests a fine mix of nature and art where colors and forms lead them on a fascinating journey. They should walk slowly, breath in the fresh air and let themselves be mesmerized by paints, photos and many other artistic pieces. Finally, we recommend they take a seat at Coffee Paul Bowles to taste their Moroccan pastries and traditional mint tea.
