Itinerary

Day 1 - Johannesburg / Victoria Falls

Arrive Johannesburg and connect to your flight to Victoria Falls. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Experience luxury and hospitality that only Stanley & Livingstone Camp at Victoria Falls can offer. This is a hotel for the discerning traveller seeking true grace and style. Accommodation is in exquisitely decorated suites overlooking a waterhole frequented by a variety of game. The hotel is located on the 6,000 acre Nakavango private reserve on the outskirts of Victoria Falls – a stone’s throw from “Mosi – oa- Tunya” the smoke that thunders. This small luxury hotel is a grand experience fit for royalty.

In the evening ejoy a sundowner cruise. Unwind at the end of the day on board a cruise boat on the mighty Zambezi River. The sundowner cruise takes you through the channels of the river, offering an opportunity to see animals such as hippopotamus, elephant, crocodile as well as a variety of birdlife that inhabit the riverine vegetation.

Day 2 - Victoria Falls

Guided Tour of the mighty Victoria Falls.

Wander through the rainforest and view the largest curtain of falling water from a number of panoramic viewing points. The evergreen rainforest is home to monkeys, baboons and other small animals such as the bushbuck. The Falls themselves vary in height from the Devil’s Cataract being the lowest at 70 metres high to the Rainbow Falls at 108 metres. The Falls are split into five sections - the Devil’s Cataract, Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls and the Eastern Cataract - which make up this world wonder and World Heritage Site.

Afternoon at leisure for optional activities.
       
There are a variety of activities to choose from, ranging from soft to hard adventure options.

Suggestions include Flight of Angels (scenic flight over the Falls by helicopter), white water rafting, bungee jumping, canoeing, elephant back safaris, lion walks and traditional village tours among others.

Day 3 - Victoria Falls / Hwange National Park

Charter flight or road transfer to Hwange National Park. The charter flight will take approximately 30 minutes, while a road transfer takes approximately two and a half hours.

The largest of Zimbabwe's eleven national parks, Hwange National Park offers unrivalled game viewing opportunities. Home to the presidential herd of elephant, plains game, buffalo and big cats this park is a wildlife enthusiast's haven.

Situated in one of Hwange National Park’s most outstanding locations, bordering ancient elephant paths and a vast grassland corridor, is the Hide. Herds of elephant, buffalo and a myriad of other game are drawn to the constant waters of the Hide’s waterhole, and the spectacle of great predators making a sudden appearance is not uncommon.

Day 4 - Hwange National Park

Morning and afternoon game drives.

Take a game drive through the park where you will come face to face with lions, elephants, giraffes and many other game species. Other activities include walking safaris escorted by a professional guide, and night game drives on the private concession which offers a thrilling chance to see leopard and other nocturnal species.

Day 6 - Hwange / Lake Kariba

You will then get a charter flight to Bumi Hills airstrip at Lake Kariba. The duration of the flight is approximately 45 minutes.

Bumi Hills Safari Lodge - the gem of Lake Kariba - is set in a unique wilderness area overlooking the waters of the lake. It offers great game viewing opportunities from both land and water and a chance to catch the illusive tiger fish for those who are up to the challenge.

Day 7 - Lake Kariba

Enjoy the activities that the lodge has to  offer.
Game viewing options include game drives along the shoreline, fishing and game viewing by boat. In addition to game viewing activities, the lodge also offers cultural tours in the form of visits to a nearby village in the Omay Communal lands.

Day 8 - Kariba / Victoria Falls / Johannesburg

In the morning you will take a charter flight to Victoria Falls airport. The flying time is approximately one and a half hours.

Arrive at the airport for your connecting flight to Johannesburg.
