Day 1 - Welcome to San Jose
Arrive in San Jose, the Costa Rican capital, from where a representative will bring you to your hotel. Explore San José’s markets, museums, and vibrant food scene in Barrio Escalante.

Day 2 - Into the Jungle: Tortuguero
Enjoy a relaxed morning before flying to the Caribbean coast and transferring by boat to your jungle lodge in Tortuguero. Glide through canals rich in wildlife—watch for crocodiles, monkeys, and colorful birds.
This remote region is only accessible by air or water, offering a true immersion in nature. After settling in, explore Tortuguero village and try a refreshing “pipa fría” (cold coconut water). The region is famous for turtle nesting (seasonal).

Day 3 - Fishing, Canoeing and Caribbean Flavors
Start the day with a thrilling half-day fishing expedition in the Caribbean waters, targeting tarpon and snook with expert local guides. Back at the lodge, choose from shared nature excursions like kayaking, hiking Cerro Tortuguero, or twilight wildlife tours. In the evening, dine aboard the Katonga floating restaurant, enjoying Caribbean cuisine to the sound of live calypso music, surrounded by tranquil jungle waters.

Day 4 - Jungle Transfer & Arrival to Pacuare Lodge
Journey by boat and land from Tortuguero to the stunning Pacuare River area. Cross the river by gondola and electric car before arriving at your eco-lodge nestled in the rainforest. Turrialba’s lush mountains and volcanic landscapes set the scene for outdoor exploration. Visit coffee plantations, enjoy rural charm, and learn about local agriculture.

Day 5 - Breakfast in the Treetops & Adventure Awaits
Begin your day with breakfast high in the rainforest canopy at “The Nest,” a serene platform nestled in the arms of a Ceiba tree. Later, choose from heart-pounding adventures like zip-lining, canyoning, or rappelling in El Tesorito Creek. Explore on a sustainability tour or hike to a Cabécar Indigenous community. Day 6 - White-Water Rafting & Arenal Bound
Paddle down the thrilling class III–IV rapids of the Pacuare River, stopping along the way to explore waterfalls and swim in jungle pools. Midday, enjoy a picnic lunch by the river before arriving in Siquirres to meet your A&K driver. You’ll continue on to La Fortuna, home of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Settle into this lively town and soak in natural hot springs as the sun sets over the volcano. Adventure continues with a splash of relaxation.

Day 7 - Mountain Biking around Lake Arenal
Ride along scenic forest trails and rolling hills during a guided mountain bike excursion around Lake Arenal. Enjoy fresh air, stunning views of the volcano, and diverse flora and fauna. Day 8 - Ziplining, Culture & Volcano Hike
Begin with a canopy zipline tour at Arenal Mundo Aventura Park, followed by a guided nature walk and an insightful cultural encounter with the Maleku people. Day 10 - Snorkeling, Kayaking & Bioluminescence
Explore vibrant reef ecosystems on a snorkeling tour in clear Pacific waters. Spot angelfish, pufferfish, and maybe an octopus or two. In the afternoon, join a kayaking expedition to nearby mangroves, where you’ll help collect floating debris and seeds to aid in ecosystem restoration. Day 11 - E-Bike Adventure to Montezuma

Day 13 - Free Day: Explore or Relax
