Day 1 - Arrive Budapest

Arrive in Budapest, a city occupying both sides of the Danube River, Budapest’s broad avenues and turn-of-thecentury architecture have earned it the name, “the Paris of Eastern Europe.” Transfer by private car to your hotel; your day is at leisure.

Overnight: Four Seasons Gresham Palace

Day 2 - Budapest

Explore the Pest side of the River today, visit the palatial Opera House, Heroes' square and the impressive St Stephen's Basilica. Finish at the Market Hall where you can buy authentic Hungarian specialities such as paprika, wine, salami and palinka (a flavoured brandy).

Day 3 - Budapest

Take in the essence of the Budapest Christmas market today, sample mouth-watering honey cookies and strudel and enjoy traditional folk dances, musical performances and shop for local arts and crafts.

Day 4 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague

Depart Budapest today and journey to Vienna. Make a stop in Bratislava, Europe's youngest capital. Wander the cobbled street and soak up the unique atmosphere and Baroque architecture before visiting Primate's Square and the striking Primate's Palace. Then, after time for lunch at leisure, continue to Vienna, Austria.

Day 5 - Vienna

Enjoy a tour of the beautiful Christmas markets in Vienna, such as Christkindlmarkt with captivatingly decorated stalls set against the backdrop of the City Hall. Go ice skating on the small ice rink surrounded by festive lights. Enjoy some mulled wine and local specialities such as gingerbread. Later today tour the 300 year old Schlumberger sparkling wine cellars, the oldest of their kind in Austria. These romantic labyrinthine cellars stretch for several kilometres below ground.

Day 6 - Vienna

Venture away from the city to the magnificent Schonbrunn Palace, tour the spectacular building before enjoying the palace's own Christmas market, this magnificent setting is perfect for this romantic advent tradition.

Day 7 - Vienna - Prague

Transfer by road to Prague, make stop in Cesky Krumlov considered the prettiest town in Bohemia. Stroll through the cobbled Old Town and be charmed by the stunning Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. Wander the traditional Czech Christmas market and sample local treats and admire the local crafts. Continue on to Prague (please note that Krumlov Castle is subject to restricted opening hours).

Day 8 - Prague

Discover Prague's Castle District, known as Hradcany. Visit to the Cathedral of St Vitus, Strahov Monastery, where you can take a private tour of its ornate library.

Stroll the magical winter wonderland of Prague's Christmas market and enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Old Town and Wenceslas Square. Take in the brightly decorated wooden huts and sample mouth-watering specialities such as hamas, mulled wines and Trdelnik, a hot sugar-coated pastry.
