Itinerary

Walk through the narrow streets and alleyways of old town Hoi An to discover its hidden charms. Meet one of the elders of the town who lives in a small side street and spends his days making black sesame soup – a kind of local dessert. Taste his delicious dish and learn about the various tools used to make it. Then visit a temple to meet a calligraphy master and learn about the ancient art of calligraphy, a tradition that dates back to the seventh century. Stop by some local eateries to taste some Hoi An specialties. Then visit a traditional house where you may have a chance to meet the owner and learn more about her family business which has been passed down through generations while tasting the unique flavor of coconut coffee. As you continue walking, visit the Fukien Assembly Hall, an ornate Chinese-style temple, and the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge, which has become an icon of the town.
