Open - Chile is fully open for travel

Access into Chile

  • As of May 1st, 2022 all borders into mainland Chile are fully open.
  • Easter Island officially opened for travel on August 1st, 2022

Entry Requirements

Chile entry requirements, as of 01 October 2022:

Vaccinated travelers:

  • Need to present a vaccination certificate issued in their country when travelling to Chile.

Unvaccinated travelers:

  • To enter Chile, you must present a negative PCR test result dated less than 48 hours from departure.

Children:

  • Minors under 18 years old will not be subject to any requirements to enter Chile.

Special entry requirements for Easter Island, as of 01 December 2022:

Vaccinated travelers:

  • Only vaccinated travelers are allowed to travel to Easter Island.
  • Need to present a vaccination certificate issued in their country when boarding their flight to Easter Island.
  • Upon arrival to Easter Island, travelers are subject to a period of vigilance for up to 5 days, which may include a follow-up visit or phone call from local health authorities. Also, random Antigen tests might be performed during the stay on the island.
  • Not related to COVID-19 entry requirements, the “Rapa Nui Entry Form” including a round trip ticket and hotel reservations, must be completed and presented upon embarkation.

Unvaccinated travelers:

  • Unvaccinated travelers are not allowed to travel to Easter Island.

Children:

  • Same requirements as adult travelers.
