Thailand 2012: New Attractions
In recent years, Thailand has seen a number of amazing new retail centres open that offer a total shopping experience, from the latest designer goods to traditional Thai arts and crafts. This month we take a look at some of the Thailand's latest world-class architectural centres; a new state-of-the-art entertainment complex in Phuket, and new shopping showrooms that have raised their profiles beginning this year:
Terminal 21
Terminal 21 located on Sukhumvit Soi 19, Sukhumvit Road brings a whole new experience of shopping with a Market Street style approach. It combines the best of popular global destinations into one fully-refurbished department store that combines the perfect combination of fashion, food, and film throughout 600 shops. Terminal 21 is easily reached by both the BTS and MRT train services.

Crystal Design Centre (CDC) Phase Two
The first of its kind in Thailand the Crystal Design Centre (CDC) is the most comprehensive and integrated Design Centre in Asia showcasing architectural, interior decorating and construction products. It is located on Praditmanutham Road, the main thoroughfare that links downtown Bangkok with the major commercial districts of Lad Prao, Kaset-Nawamindra, Ram-Indra, Ekamai and Sukhumvit. It is being positioned as a prime base for local conference delegates and business travellers.

CentralPlaza Grand Rama 9
The six-billion-Baht complex with a futuristic design is located at the intersection of Ratchadapisek and Rama 9 Roads. The plaza boasts over 214,000 square metres of shopping area spread over 11 floors with more than 300 shops, world-class cinemas and a large number of restaurants.

Siam Niramit Phuket
This fabulous theatre and entertainment complex boasts world-class performances of Thailand's arts and cultural heritage, with over 100 performers, lavish costumes and stunning set designs. Enhanced special effects and the world's most advanced technology are used to produce a realistic, stimulating and inspiring experience. The theatre capacity is for 1,740 seats and 20 wheelchair spaces. The Siam Niramit Phuket show runs every day except Tuesday, starting at 20.30hrs.
Before watching the show, visitors can walk through a Village of the Four Regions in Thailand with its portrayal of the traditional rural Thai lifestyle, complete with demonstrations of arts and crafts and a Phuket floating market to experience the traditional way of buying and selling fresh products from small rowing boats.
Visitors can also enjoy small open-air performances of traditional Thai music and dance in the elegant surroundings of the courtyard, elephant rides, and souvenir shopping with a broad range of top-quality handicrafts from all regions of Thailand..
