This itinerary showcases the highlights of the Northern Safari Circuit of Tanzania.
Highlights: Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Manyara
After a hearty lunch, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and the first sight of it is simply breathtaking! The fertile slopes and the steep forest-covered walls are home to around 30,000 animals including the rare black rhino.

Enjoy an early morning breakfast before transferring to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Later, enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater.
The Ngorongoro crater has one of the highest concentration of predators in Africa including some of the finest black-maned lions. Rhino can also be seen here with calves at their heel. Eland and waterbuck appear not to notice the human visitors, enabling photographers to shoot at ease.
In the afternoon, visit a Maasai village and learn the customs of the local people.

Following breakfast this morning transfer to Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of mankind, made famous by Dr Leaky's discovery of fossil fragments dating back some 3.5 million years. Thereafter, continue the drive to your lodge located in Serengeti National Park with game drive enroute.
Once settled at the lodge, you will have lunch and later, an afternoon game drive.

The Serengeti National Park is arguably the most famous national park in the world. The Serengeti perhaps defines the safari experience as surely as the wildlife that inhabits it. The principal attraction of the Serengeti is the passing of the wildebeest migration, 1.5 million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebra, gazelle and other plains game that follow close behind, stalked by the inevitable predators who make the most of the 'feast' close at hand.

After breakfast drive to the Lake Manyara National Park. This is one of Tanzania's most diverse national parks and offers varied ecosystems, incredible birdlife and breathtaking views.
After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Watch out for the famous tree-climbing lions of Manyara!
