Duration: 1 day
A 6-hour shore excursion to unforgettable San Sebastian and The Basque Coastline.
Highlights: Gernika, Mundaka, Bermeo, San Sebastian, Bay of Biscay, Monte Igueldo
Leaving Bilbao, you will head along the beautiful Basque Coastline, through the historical capital of Gernika, the pretty fishing village of Mundaka located in a nature reserve and Bermeo, an original whaling port, before arriving in San Sebastian, one of the most attractive cities in Spain, situated in the north, close to the French border. Upon arrival in this fashionable seaside resort on the Bay of Biscay, once the summer residence of the Spanish royal court, you will enjoy a panoramic city tour including the Miramar Palace, the neo-Gothic Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, and the Hotel Maria Cristina (an amazing, palatial building with domed roofs).
After lunch in a local restaurant, you will visit Monte Igueldo – one of the three hills at the foot of which San Sebastian lies – for a superb view of the city, before heading back to Bilbao.
