Venture along the coast to Valencia with your English-speaking driver guide today, stopping in the area of Tarragona on the way. Driving south past the city of Tarragona, once the most important city in Roman Spain, come to one of the most interesting and important small wine regions in all Spain, the Priorat.
Until recently this was a forgotten corner where the wines were strictly for local consumption. Today its wines, frequently made from ancient vines rejuvenated by modern techniques and many of them superbly powerful in the manner that is so popular today (similar the style of “Super Tuscans’ in Italy), are winning prizes all over the world. Production is small and prices high, the reason for which becomes immediately apparent to the visitor. The mountainous landscape is spectacular and the vines are grown on narrow terraces clinging to the hillside. A visit here is an unforgettable experience and can include a visit to more bodegas followed by a superb lunch in a little restaurant in the hilltop village of Gratallops.
In the afternoon continue to your hotel in Valencia.

This course is long and challenging but will cement golf in Spain into your memory for years to come.
