
South Africa Private Game Reserve was truly honoured to host Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall for one day of their recent South African tour.
The royal couple paid a special visit to andBeyond Phinda Private Game Reserve, as part of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) initiative showcasing conservation projects in KwaZulu-Natal.

Mahatma Gandhi's historic Johannesburg home has been transformed into a museum guesthouse by French company. Voyageurs du Monde, who bought the property two years ago as an investment in 'liberation tourism' The restored Satyagraha House in Orchards opened last week following a restoration project that has seen the re-creation of the Edwardian home along with the development of an on-site museum, featuring Gandhi memorabilia and period pieces from India.
The guesthouse component of the Satyagraha House comprises nine rooms and a restaurant offering strictly vegetarian fare in accordance with Gandhi’s own dietary preference.
The house tells its own compelling story but can also be integrated into a wider visitor experience by combining a visit here with visits to Soweto, Constitution Hill and Johannesburg’s Old Fort Prison, a jail where Gandhi and Nelson Mandela were both held.

Fancourt is to Host another of the World’s Major Golf Events. Fancourt has announced that the European Tour’s first-ever true ‘tournament of champions’ event has been confirmed for South Africa’s number-one golf course - The Links at Fancourt, where it will be held from 19th to the 22nd January 2012.
The event holds the prospect of the finest field ever assembled for a European Tour event on African soil, chasing the €350,000 (approximately ZAR3.5million) first prize. With a prize fund of €2million (approximately ZAR20million) the Volvo Golf Champions is the first solely-sanctioned European Tour event of 2012, and offers the circuit’s most valuable purse on the African continent.
