DETAILS

FULL LENGTH TOUR DESCRIPTION
Depart the pier and drive on the north mainland to visit the Bombolulu Workshops. On arrival, you will be met by your guide and provided with a brief introduction about the workshops. You will then be taken around the five workshops to see the quality products made by the skilled disabled workers, such as African jewellery, leather work, metal casting, plating, textile/screen painting and woodcarving. You may purchase their wares from the display shop.

Then return to your coaches and proceed to Haller Park (formerly Bamburi Nature Trail). This unique project is a creation of a viable living environment from a disused quarry. Here you can see a variety of wildlife, including large mammals such as hippo, buffalo, giraffe, eland and gazelle. Your guide will give you all the information you need as he leads you round the animal sanctuary, the tilapia farm, crocodile pits and snake exhibition. Lots of birdlife is also to be found in this beautiful paradise. The ancient tortoises will see you off as you depart and head back to your vessel.
