DAY 2

Cairo

After breakfast, begin your Pyramids tour.

The Pyramids of Giza are the only present-day survivors of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, built as giant tombs for the mummies of the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. View the enigmatic Sphinx with its lion’s body and man’s head, who guards the necropolis.

Today’s lunch will be a uniquely Egyptian experience. Traditional garlands of fresh jasmine will be hung around the neck of each guest as you board a felucca – a traditional Nile sailing vessel. Enjoy a lavish barbecue buffet prepared specially for you. Musicians will be on board to play some Egyptian music during lunch.

Return to the hotel to freshen up before a private visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. Your Egyptologist will escort you today on a fascinating tour of 7,000 years of Egyptian history. The museum houses the world’s greatest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including twelve rooms filled with golden treasures from the world-famous tomb of the boy king Tutenkhamun. Your tour today includes a chance to enter the Mummies Room, a specially-built area dedicated to the mummies of ancient Royal Kings and Queens, including the mummy of ancient Egypt’s greatest Pharaoh, Ramses II.

Le Pacha 1901 is one of Cairo's landmark dining and entertainment venues. Originally a paddle boat from the turn of the century, Le Pacha is today moored along the banks of the Nile along the Gezira Island in the heart of Cairo. L’ Oasis restaurant will be booked exclusively for the group. An international menu will be offered and light music will be played during dinner, afterwards we can arrange a party for you.

DAY 3

Cairo - Wadi Rayan - Wadi Hitan - Cairo

Very early breakfast at the hotel, depart at 6am for Wadi El Rayan Park in 4X4 jeeps (5 clients per car). The drive to Fayoum will take around one hour, then you will continue driving to the National Park of Wadi El Rayan, which is a lake with small falls in the Western Desert of Egypt.

Visit Zeglodon Valley in the Wadi Hitan National Park where fossilised skeletons of whales, dating back some 30 million years, were discovered.

Lunch will be served in the desert in a special tent that will be set up especially for the group. Depending on the time, there can be competitions in the lake, as well as a tug of war on dry land. DAY 4

Cairo

Today you will explore Cairo. Begin with a visit to the Church of St. Sergius. According to tradition, it was built on the spot where the Holy Family, Joseph, Mary and the infant Christ, rested at the end of their journey into Egypt. They may have lived here while Joseph worked at the fortress.

The Hanging Church (El Muallaqa), so named for its location on top of the southern tower gate of the old Babylon fortress with its nave suspended above the passage, is a curious sight indeed. Take a tour of Islamic Cairo, starting with the ancient Citadel. It is a complex of four mosques and four museums, including the beautiful and graceful Mohamed Ali Mosque. Built between 1830 and 1857, the mosque also became the site of the great Ottoman ruler’s tomb. From the arcaded courtyard, enjoy a magnificent view across the city to the pyramids in Giza.

An Egyptian food buffet will be served in a restaurant in El Azhar Park, offering stunning panoramic views of old Islamic Cairo. Note: the restaurant does not serve alcoholic beverages, as it is a part of Islamic Cairo.

Proceed to the fascinating Khan El-Khalili Bazaar – reputedly the largest bazaar in the Middle East. Originally founded as a watering stop for caravanserai in the 14th century, the bazaar has now grown to vast proportions.

Return to the hotel to freshen up before tonight’s dinner at the Manial Palace. If desired, the hotel can distribute a gift, a big scarf called “abbaya” which is traditional Egyptian dress, for you to wear over your normal dress to give the night a more Egyptian touch. You will be transferred by deluxe air-conditioned coach to the Manial Palace. On arrival at the gates of the palace, dismount from your vehicles to walk along the flag stoned entrance path, where a welcome corridor of police brass bandsmen will await you.

At the terrace of the Golden hall, we will have a set up of high tables for the cocktails with fine pass around canapés as a welcome to the place.

Entertainment during the cocktails can be a soloist upon request. After the cocktail, the doors of the Golden Hall will be opened where the dinner will be held, and the client can invite the guest in

The Golden room can take up to 140 clients, and it is fully air-conditioned. Set can be 1 long table (for maximum 50 pax), or round tables for 8 pax each (for more than 50 clients). Flower arrangements will be at the room in the main corners, with big arrangements, and at the entrance as well, on the tables, will have smaller arrangements, with the colours of your choice, to match with your company logo, or your theme colours.

Tables will be covered by specially rented tables and seat cloths, as well as top china, silver and glass wear for the usage of the clients during the night. The menu of the night will be printed and placed on each plate, with your logos as well.

A fine set menu dinner of your desire will be served by a five star caterer.

A traditional oriental “tacht” or a String Quartet will play throughout dinner.  The Pasha’s waiting staff will attentively serve a sumptuous set-menu dinner, with souvenir parchment menus tied with red silk ribbon for each guest.

At the end of the night, deluxe air-conditioned coaches will be waiting outside the palace to take you back to the hotel.
