Day 1 - Arrive Timbavati Game Reserve

Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport you will be met planeside and assisted with clearing Customs & Immigration formalities and your flight arrangements to Hoedspruit Airport.

Scheduled flight from OR Tambo International Airport to Hoedspruit Airport (cost not included).

Upon arrival at Hoedspruit Airport, collect your luggage and make your way to the Arrivals Hall where you will be met by a Sable Tours representative and assisted onto your private road transfer to Kambaku Safari Lodge. The transfer time is approximately one hour and 30 minutes.

The establishment of Kambaku Safari Lodge began, as most things do, with a simple idea: that the most memorable moments are those we share with others, especially with your family.

On arrival each child will receive an age-appropriate gift pack to work through while at the lodge. A range of activities is included to accommodate all children in different age groups.

Watch the organic radiance of the African bushveld unfold in a way that celebrates the spirit of community. Wild dogs, hippos, hyena – spot them as the seasoned game rangers reveal the indigenous diversity of the Timbavati Game Reserve.

Day 2 - Timbavati Game Reserve

Safaris should be a family adventure. All the children are welcome and encouraged to make use of the child friendly facilities including the pool, playroom, a variety of children’s books, puzzles and board games, as well as paper, pencils, glue paints etc. The curio shop also stocks a range of kid’s goodies, and the kids will delight in their own special menu!

The children’s program is aimed at educating and entertaining young minds. There is so much to see, so much to learn. Children jump at the opportunity to become certified junior rangers by the end of their stay, a worthy accomplishment for the future custodians of our precious wildlife.

Day 3 - Timbavati Game Reserve

Junior Ranger for a day - Gear up and have fun assisting your ranger!

All kids will receive a Junior Ranger certificate on departure to acknowledge their achievements!

Whilst the kids are being kept busy by the ranger team, the adults can enjoy game viewing safari’s time, Spa treatment, time in the gym or the hide or on a bush walk.

Day 4 - Timbavati Game Reserve - Hermanus

Meet your Sable Tours representative in the reception area of the lodge for your private road transfer to Hoedspruit Airport. The transfer time is approximately one hour and 30 minutes.

Scheduled flight from Hoedspruit Airport to Cape Town International Airport (cost not included).

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, proceed to the Arrivals Hall where you are met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. The transfer time is approximately two hours.

Day 5 - Cape Whale Coast & Hermanus

The Cape Whale Route offers so much when it comes to exploring the Western Cape beyond Cape Town. There is far more to this route than just whales, with enough variety to keep families occupied

The road trip from Betty’s Bay along the coast toward the other towns on the Cape Whale Route is a peaceful experience, with the Atlantic Ocean on the one side and mountainous, fynbos terrain on the other. Guests will pass through several quaint villages in between the more established towns. Hermanus is the largest town along the Cape Whale Route and famous for its whale-watching and the annual Hermanus Whale Festival. Adventure activity options along the route include hiking, shark cage-diving, sea kayaking, quad biking, parasailing, horse riding and, of course, whale-watching boat tours.

The beautifully kept horse stables and outdoor play area with rabbits, ducks and other friendly farm animals provides children with hours of entertainment and facilitated educational activities. The children’s entertainment room ensure that all their needs are satisfied to keep them happy and busy during the day.

Meet you guide in the reception area of the lodge for your private road transfer to More Quarters, Cape Town. The transfer time is approximately two hours.

The city offers a wealth of culinary experiences, unique shopping and adventures second to none. Colloquially named the Mother City, it is known for its harbor, natural setting in the Cape Floristic Region and for landmarks such as Table Mountain and Cape Point.

Located within Cape Town's city bowl, More Quarters Apartment Hotel combines apartment living with the service and hospitality of a hotel, which makes your experience so unique and ideal when visiting Cape Town.
